Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Hi Debbie 🥰
Oh no!!! 😭 Pam, I just can’t believe it! I thought for sure there would be a few more days, especially after he was so adamant about his beard. I’m thinking you were somewhat shocked too. I did not know about the schizophrenia. One of my nephews suffers with that, and is still hiding from everyone. Such a wicked disease. But now you know Rick will be at rest, probably for the first time in a long time. Bless his soul. And God bless you and your family, Pam, for taking such good care of him. Prayers for you and… Read more »
Thank you so much Karen 💞 Rick had a great medicine that helped him for over 35 years. He could even pick up his own prescriptions at the local Pharmacy.
Oh my, that is really good that they found something that helped, Pam. I wish we could find a way to make it go away and stay away. It is so hard on a person. I wish i could do something more for you during this time. I’m so glad you have Chuck and Kitty. I just can’t believe how fast things went!
I was shocked as she originally said he had 3 to 4 months.
Yes, I was thinking 3-4 months too, and then was also shocked. Almost like he found his place of transition.
What med was it, Pam?
clozapine — heavy-duty stuff
Thanks, Pam. I need to ask my sister if my nephew was on that.

Pam I’m sorry this is a little delayed. Julie called and told me about Rick, made my cry I felt so bad for you and your family. I went immediately to read your post and say something to you, what I would say I did not know. The phone rang and of all things Nancy! I was so aggravated! So sorry for the delay. I am sorry beyond words Pam and I hurt for all of you. Your family is remarkable in your caring and love for each other. I know you are holding each other tight, and Rick now… Read more »

I’ll just see you later no one is posting this never posted? so I’m posting it from an hour ago
Just wanted to let you all know Rick passed away this morning; he is at peace — those schizophrenic demons in his head have been laid to rest.
So glad your sister is still here with you and Chuck and was able to say goodbye to Rick. You have been through so much these past few months, and with Rick being nearby and with wonderful care givers helps. You all have been a blessing to each other and Rick. Time to sit back and realize what it means to truly be a great family, and know you did a wonderful job keeping Rick in a warm loving environment. Peace.
well said and thank you
Thank you so very much. All the caregivers were lined up to hug us; they were so sweet.
They know what all of you did.
They really did get to know us 😘
They saw the inside parts. So did us here.
So well said.
Oh Pam Oh no honey I’m so sorry this is the unimaginable, he is free from pain. Hugs for you and dear Chuck and sister Kitty💕 My brother Micheal is with him and welcomed him to the next big adventure😘
Thank you Julie 💖 Lots of friends/family waiting to welcome him home.
Oh yes and I believe so, we will all meet again😍
I’m crying as I read.
Oh no Pam…………….that went faster than you had said in the beginning.
I am SO sorry and glad that Kitty was there with you and Chuck all week.
(((Hugs))) for all of you😘
Thank you Ardyth 💖 I thought we had another day or 2; i knew it wouldn’t be long
My father was only in hospice one day too Pam. That night I took Mom home to come back the next day. Dad asked me to buy him an electric razor. The nurse said he ate mashed potatoes, went potty on his own, slept, and the next morning they told us to hurry in. We were there about all day. We had no idea.
😥💖
💔
Seems like many I know were in hospice ONE day.
where was my spam?
💓 Its good that you were able to spend all the time with him that you did.
Yes, we sure were fortunate in that.
