Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

They made me a beef and bean burrito asked if I wanted chili I said yes they made the burrito and put chili on top of it. I normally don’t like wet burritos but last night I went for the works, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, salsa I have enough chili left over to make huevos rancheros😋

Never heard the term wet burrito

Regional terms: In some regions, like Arizona, it may also be ordered as an “enchilada-style” burrito

I just pick up the kit. They will probably show me the contents and explain what to do. Last time I had trouble adjusting the fit of the strap that goes around the chest. It needs to be snug.

So your monitor was implanted? You didn’t actually wear it?

I had to wear what is called a Holter Monitor, it has a sticky substance on the back of it and you place between the boobs and you can go on with your daily life while it does its job, it monitors the electrical activity of your heart, I wore mine for 2 weeks but in some cases you just wear it for 24 to 48 hours

My sister has worn one but I’m not sure the whole thing was stuck on, just the probes. But that one would be better than having all the probes attached. I should have worn one years ago, because I know in retrospect I was having AFIB years before I got diagnosed. I had multiple EKG’s but I never was in AFIB, and an EKG only detects AFIB when it is active. I would probably have needed to wear a monitor for a month in the earlier days before the AFIB got worse.

yeah this kind is easy peasy, you just stick it on and you’re ready to go, yeah it might have been a good idea for you

That will be fun to be at the fair, but I’m not fond of tractor or truck pulls. I do enjoy horse pulls. But the atmosphere will be fun so I would go too. Consider ear plugs!

Good night dear Phamily. I’m headed to bed and ready for it. Holding our family here especially close to my heart, and prayers will be said and felt. Lots of love sprang out of that half a golf ball size nest that we all watch. Hope everyone goes to bed with a sense of peace, even if the heart is heavy. No. That is not a contradiction. Love to all. 🥰♥️♥️

I need to consume my food and relax calling it a night, I usually open the windows for the night air and turn off the AC but not tonight but I just checked the over night temps and it going to be coller than what I have the AC at which is 74 so I’m opening the windows up.
