Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

It seems a lot of the tributes to Dolly are in the form of things like contributing to charities in her honor or like donating blood in her honor. Dolly would like that and I think it shows who Dolly was that people honor her like this.

Ugh, humid and then HOT!! Keep ice water on hand, if possible. Is this Summer ever going to end? I’m so glad you heard your Dad’s voice. Been a while. So special. 💕

Hello there BellaFam 💖 Been a very rough few days, sorry I haven’t stopped by. Rick’s been moved to the Hospice wing at Pioneer. Such a lovely room, plenty of seating for families; all painted/decorated by volunteers; including butterflies on the wall 🦋 And a very nice recliner if/when Chuck wants to stay the night. Rick’s had a shower and when the nurses were talking about whether or not they should shave his beard, he was very clear; NO. 😄 They don’t use a morphine drip, but mixed with a couple other meds, they syringe it into his mouth every… Read more »

Glad to hear from you, Pam. 😍 I didn’t expect that Rick would move to hospice so fast, but then I remembered you talking about the time frames earlier. I am so worried for you all. I know you are holding on tightly to each other. I’m praying for you all. 😘

I’ve missed you Pam but I sure understand your absence. Love, hugs and prayers are coming your way, but the words don’t come easily. I’m sure you know and understand. I actually thought Rick was already in hospice, but I suppose they have moved him to a better room to accommodate family, and it probably has more privacy too. Know that you and your family are loved, and everyone here cares and are holding your hand in only the ways we can. 💔♥️♥️♥️🙏

Hi Pam. Hospice workers are really Heroes. Some of the kindest and caring medical professionals I have met have been hospice workers. They not only take care of the patients but also the extended families.
[[HUGS]] to all of you.💖

Pam sweet heart its so good you can find comfort in Ricks care, and the application of his drugs w/o being invasive. Protect his beard he has say so about it and that’s wonderful😘 The hospice nurses really are special people💖 the lead RN must be a keeper that Chuck wants her to come home with him and having Kitty coming back on Sunday keeps you three together like peas and carrots😘 sleep well dear Pam I’m sending you a kiss for your forehead and holding your hand and giving it a squeeze. Love you Pam

Good evening. 🥰 I have been cleaning and napping off and on all day. I really had to clean, but was tired, but didn’t want to wait, so I did both. Now I am still tired, but not too bad. Julie, i am glad you heard from your family. A nice surprise. And then a new roof is coming! A good day! 🤗 Debbie, what a neat idea on the corn mazes. I am still watching Dolly stuff everywhere. I think lots of folks are still trying to find closure. I know I am. Ardyth, I like your new glasses.… Read more »
