Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Got home around 3 got the car unloaded, got Jade outside and then I released Monarchs then put groceries away. Just took a Aleve I can feel the lifting in my back. Also moved some things around outside, because the roofers will be here at 7:30am to do the roof. Should be a one day thing-so just have to make through tomorrow

I have been too busy!! Yesterday involved doctor stuff and then shopping. Took over half the day. Then today was phone call day. Just this and that stuff, but all necessary, boring, and tiring. I met the nicest doctor I have met in my life yesterday. The new ortho doctor. He walked into the room and said, hi, I’m David Weinstein, how are you today? Karen I’m sorry about that right shoulder. Did the prednisone cause that? Seems it would hurt more than the left shoulder. At least the painful one can be fixed. I don’t know how you even wash your hair. So, how do you have RA medicine if you haven’t seen a RA doctor yet? And why would a RA doc send you to a hand surgeon instead of the orth doc you saw yesterday. I’m glad you got a nice doctor who seemed to want to do the best he could for you. The foot ortho doctor was like that.
Debbie, I’ve been told by lots of folks here who have trouble with RA that getting a good ra doc is almost impossible. And they are right.. The first doc i saw years ago just gave me hydroxychloroquin (sp?). I think Dr. Weinstein will get me to a good one. And yep, the pred caused it. I’m on hydroxychloroquine too but also Orencia. I just don’t know how you right shoulder doesn’t hurt like heck, but I guess the nerves destroyed along with the bone. Do you know how long it will be until you get shoulder surgery?
I am also amazed why my right shoulder doesn’t bother me more. My left shoulder actually pops and cracks all the time, but it doesn’t really hurt much, thank God. I don’t want to jinx myself. They will look at left shoulder xray right away and determine whether they need to do the shoulder or the hand first based on which one will get worse or can get worse etc.. Has this shoulder problem been going on for awhile? Did he give you anything for pain?
Yes, for a while, but the hernia took precedence as far as repairs go. Bummer. I’ve been on low dose oxycodone for a while.
