Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Hello…winter weather advisories today/tomorrow…might go out for a bit, just light snow and cold now…maybe? heavier later and below zero temps coming…last night we went to a candlelight open house at a historical mansion, was so beautiful..they had lots of cookies and hot chocolate at the end of the tour. I set out some village buildings and will do a couple little jobs today and maybe read, relax later.

and normally, the last several years, our Decembers have been so mild.
Last year we had no snow
Just had a big flock of Sandhill Cranes fly over-they are leaving the cold and making it south before winter starts and last night I heard a flock of Canadian Geese fly over in the dark, could hear them but couldn’t see them not sure if the lakes are froze over so there must be some open water for them to land in to rest and eat
You have plenty of wild life to see right there in Madison.
For the bird migrations oh yes!!!
