Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Well good grief. The boogy man must be around. Jo got in her van to go get a haircut and the alarm went off. She couldn’t get it to stop, finally did. Then it started again. She drove across the street to the young new neighbor who just came home. He finally got it off, then it started again. Then the alarm went off in my car and no one was even near, but it didn’t sound long. Finally, at least for right now, all alarms are off. Geesh.

Good morning Bella Buds and Happy Fall to you. It feels like fall this morning. 67 outside, 77 inside. Windows are open and my thermometers are only about a foot from the window. Seems there wouldn’t be that much difference between indoor and outdoor temp. I’m not sure what I’ll do today. My printer is not working so I guess I need to buy a new one.
