Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Just caught up on the brackets for Bear week Chunk is still around has showed up at the falls a few times he’s large and in charge, looks like his broken jaw is healed as much as it can
How did he get a broken jaw? He looks well fed so it didn’t stop him from eating.
Broken jaw from fighting-they don’t really know for sure, he showed up with it last year. They think it was from a fight with another male bear. He’s put on some good weight, he’s figured out how to eat with it😍
Hi! 😘 We just got home. Stopped and got Captain D’s for supper. Going to eat now. Dutchess is good. I am SO relieved. We got the same meds as before from the vet. Car still an issue. I’ll talk more, but I have to eat first. We don’t buy Captain D’s that often, because it’s so expensive. So I want to get to it while it’s hot. See you in a bit. 🥰

Hey, Debbie! I finally made it home. Whew! I got Southern style hand-breaded fish filets, green b e ans w/ham bits, fried okra, and 2 hush puppies. Oh yum-m-m! I am so beat. I am saying good night. Talk to you tmrw. Love you. ❤️💓❤️
Hi Karen I like bread fish way better than the battered stuff although I usually get grilled. Catfish or whitefish? I usually get okra too. I’m so glad you are safely home and I hope less anxious about Dutchess. I sure have been concerned about you both. Hope you can get good rest, I know it has been a long, tiring and stressful day.
