Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Lexington news is in my county for a story on the murdered state trooper. They are showing where the trooper went to school, showed fire stationes where he volunteered, interviewing our mayor. They will have more later on about him. He was a good guy and it is just sad. They showed the scum that killed him going to court I guess to be formerly charged with murder. Kill a trooper automatically, if convicted, gets the death penalty. This case makes me want to renege on my life long conviction of opposition to the death penalty.
Oh I didn’t know he was murdered I thought you wrote something about it I guess I thought it was in a car accident. OK i’m resting so I’m not chatting for a couple hours but
It was just a regular traffic stop. The guy is 51 and had a long criminal history. I think he had been paroled but violated parole. He should not have been paroled in the first place. The trooper I think was not aware the guy he stopped was wanted. I don’t know if the trooper had found out yet when he was shot.
That is so sad. A good life wasted.
