Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

I think I’m going to say goodnight as I keep loosing posts. I think it is because of replies in the basement, and it is even worse on my phone than my iPad. . Karen Im glad to know you are safe at home but sorry for your hard, bad day. Pam safe and happy travels. Enjoy your time with Kitty. Gem you need to be with us more. You are loved too. Love to all my Bella Buds and a peaceful, pleasant night for all.

Hello, anyone who is still up. ⌛ Sorry I’m so late. I just got home a few mins ago. Had to take husband to ER, as his doctor’s office was already closed, and I felt he needed to be seen. Spent 6 hrs there! 😩 Really a bummer. Anyway, he is having trouble with his other foot now. Painful, toe turning black. Don’t know how long it’s been going on. Dr put him on antibiotics and checked him all out. I was outside the room, chatting with other nurses, who I now know, about other stuff. Heard it all, don’t… Read more »

Anyway, as you can probably guess, I have not read any posts yet I wanted to make sure and get this on. I missed the football game and everything – bummer. I’m hoping everyone is doing okay. I will talk to you tomorrow, or maybe a little tonight if anyone is still up. Hugs – rest well, sleep 😴💤

Hi KM, sorry you had to go through this. Is this something he has known about and just didn’t tell you? I know how you feel, sometimes you just need ME time, but then …! Try and get some rest and keep yourself as healthy as can be. I know you have a lot going on and trying to get answers. Sure Duchess will figure out you need some extra love tonight. I’m closing down. Hope tomorrow will be a better day for YOU.

Thank you GEM. Yes, he is quite a case. Have to keep up with him every minute. Which I really can’t do. But I try. He will just have to get himself straight. Dutchess has been a dear. (🦌) ha!! She looks like one. Sorry I missed you tonight, hopefully I’ll see you tomorrow or in the next couple of days. Sleep good. 😘

Oh dear Karen Im so sorry for your husband and you. Is he a diabetic? So, he waited again to go to his doctor and show his foot? So you had to spend your time in an ER? Seems he would have learned this lesson before. To show his family doctor before it progresses. Going for an office visit is a lot easier than OR.

Hey Debbie, you’re telling me!!! He is pushing his luck. No, he is not a diabetic. I tried to spend as little time as possible in the ER room. Like I mentioned, I know just about all the staff now. He did get an earful. Even Dutchess figured it out and kept her distance. Hopefully, one day he will learn. Hope you are doing okay tonight. It’s that time for you. You sleep good, I will be right behind you. 🤗😘 Mwah!!

Dear Karen Marie, you had a day OMG. Glad you made it home and DH was seen, and is on antibiotics. Poor man and poor you. Sending you healing wishes sweet heart. I think you need to go outside of the building to get your phone to work?

Thank you Julie. It was too far to walk to get outside the ER itself, so I had to ditch that idea. Plus it was cold. Plus I wasn’t very happy. Plus plus plus. You know how it is. 🤗

Oh no! That is happening to me too, that is why I’m saving them halfway through and then starting again with the second half. I don’t know what the problem is. But I know it’s very frustrating. Thanks for trying though Debbie. Sorry I missed talking to you tonight. 🌹

Third time. Karen how are you today. Did you finally wake up? No more anxiety pills? You have so many issues I never know which one it is. Flu like? Digestive? Lymphatic, shoulder pain.

I just had trouble from the new medicine that Dr put me on for anxiety. It is way too powerful for me. I took it and didn’t know anything for many many hours. I slept for almost a whole day and night. It’s okay though, at least we know what we’re working with and what my system will and will not accept. I have had many issues for many years. I just have them so well under control that I normally don’t have to mention them. I have picked up a couple of new ones in the last couple of… Read more »

Hi Pam, no the chia pets where you water it’s head/body and chia plants grow. There is a sloth one this year. I see the commercial many times a day/night.

When we get a new baby in the family I send Nancy a check and tell us I will pay for both gifts if she will do the shopping and fix the gift bag! 😂. I just send her a check for Christmas. That way she gets two gifts. The money, and she can do what she loves the most. Shop!

we weren’t at Goodwill long, just a quick walk thru. not my favorite, I like a couple other resale shops but DH suggested going in there…it took over three hours for all the stores I mentioned.
