Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Hi Pam, glad to see you are safely home. In real time you got home 30 minutes before me. We got home about 4 CT. My, you really ate southern! As in Kentucky, TN, Alabama, Georgia, etc. Kitty hadn’t seen y’all in a long time, she was all geared up and cramming it in. I’m sure she was excited to see you.

When i go southern, i go southern 😋 Kitty was sick for so long, 28 days trying to recover from e-coli and she’s starting to feel like herself as well as feel hungry.
Didn’t know Kitty had e-coli. Did she know the source?
I don’t think she was ever able to narrow it down.
Oh no! e-coli. I bet she felt miserable. I hope she recovers completely soon. I’ve heard that stuff is awful. 🙏
It’s been about 10 days since the 2nd dr appt/2nd round of meds to clear it up; she’s still being very careful. She had b-fast food at cracker barrel today.
A slow and careful recovery. It must have really drained her. 😥
Oh I didn’t realize she was still fighting it.

Hello and Merry Merry. Tis almost 5 and I’ve just had a wee supper of tuna casserole leftover from yesterday’s deli purchase from our local Co-op. Sometimes I just don’t feel like cooking🙂 My plans for tonight are to address mail and other paperwork, do a load of laundry and a few other boring tasks. I mailed Christmas cards. Hope everyone is having a good day.

I meant to mention your tuna casserole, Lin. One of my favorites, but one I usually forget about for some reason.
I didn’t make this one. was at local Co-op looking for a certain homeopathic and passing their deli bar I saw they had the tuna casserole. I do love making it too when I have the energy. Do you add any herbs or spice to yours? i love tarragon with tuna.
I add tarragon also. One of my favorite spices. Salt, pepper, a tiny bit of garlic, and sometimes smoked paprika.
This is a late response…sorry. Still trying to catch up with messages. I had 67! Half were Likes so I just cleared those. Whew! Do you grow any herbs in your garden? I’m sad that many herbs that were perennial in other states I’ve lived are only annuals here such as Tarragon, Rosemary, I store grown herbs in mason jars and seriously – they keep their flavor for years!! I them air tight in a dark cabinet away from heat. So I still have tarragon from two years ago.
I’m back. Spent nearly 2 hours in Walmart! We just went there and back. It is 41 outside but the store was cold, I am just now starting to warm up. Everything is relative folks. I was buzzing around on a shopping scooter and there was a handicapped lady pushing a regular cart. I guess her hands are messed up more than her legs.
