Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Reminds me of a great book I recently read written by the actor Jeremy Renner. In 2023 he was run over and crushed by his 14,000 pound snow machine and almost died. He had 38 broken bones and alot of soft tissue damage. The book is his story of survival, love of family, hope and determination and gratitude.
What a story of survival. I briefly checked his file and saw he appeared in quite a few movies. I might check out that book, or an audio or video. How inspiring. Thanks Lin.
The book made me cry, just reading what he went through. What is so impressive is that throughout his journey post accident, he writes about fighting for his life every moment and how he pushes through and how almost two years latter, he is a better man, father, son, etc. because of all he had to endure. I’ve always enjoyed his roles. If you haven’t seen him in the Hurt Locker…great movie.
I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen that one. But I do recognize him, and I know I’ve seen some of his work. I will check out the Hurt Locker. What a title!

It is Judy, Julie’s friend. Her mother is in the hospital in Florida and her brother fell outside and couldn’t get up.

Hi Karen, how is everything going today in your house? It was good to help someone, wish I could have followed her around the store. I’m usually on the other end, receiving! What is the problem with the Reuben, the corned beef , kraut or both?
Things are quiet. Just spent a long time cleaning the two areas of carpet. I can’t handle things like that unless I get them totally taken care of. Kraut and my colon – a no-go combination, literally. I get really sick. But that’s okay, I have plenty of other things to eat. And I do take advantage of that. 😂

Yes, very much diarrhea. Time to mask up! I have no idea what caused it. She hasn’t eaten anything other than her dog food for a few days. Maybe she got nervous about things. Who knows. She was a little quiet last night. It took me a long time to thoroughly clean it.

No, it is not pleasant, but it seldom happens. Do cats have accidents like that? Or do they always manage to make it to the litter box?
I think our first cat had a normal stool right outside the litter box but there was a medical issue. I forgot which. So you are sure she didn’t get ahold of something to eat.

I know. Macie throws up a lot. It is a pain in the butt but isn’t her fault. Sometimes it is hair, sometimes not. But I think even when we don’t see hair there is hair in her belly that irritates and makes her throw up.
