Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Sometimes certain people who know it won’t be long get a puppy to help bridge the gap when it happens. And sometimes depending on circumstances a puppy can perk up the elderly.

If the older pet is only a couple of years older, it then works you wouldn’t want to bring in a new one in with a much older pet. Judy is running into this now- the puppy and her 2 older cats, they don’t get along at all. Her kitty’s don’t even get to sleep with her because of the puppy he terrorizes them. I told her she needs to kennel him and its not fair to her cats so her answer was to buy a cat tree they can climb up on to get away from the dog😂 I… Read more »

Some times things just happen like me and Jade, I wasn’t looking for a cat at the time I got her, she needed a home and I had one😍 Never get a young animal when there’s an elderly pet like a new puppy or kitten its not fair to the older pet who at this time of their life doesn’t need to be pounced on or get chewed on. I have not seen Millie in over a month and I’m used to seeing her everyday, I’m sure they got this puppy after Millies passing, they walked her everyday

But didn’t Judy sorta go looking for Jade? I remember when Gypsy died Judy told you well, looks like it is time for a new cat. She hadn’t found Jade at that time.

She and a friend rescued Jade and her sister but I didn’t know about that till 3 weeks later- Judy asked If I wanted to rescue and I said yes then and out of the 2 rescues Judy picked Jade for me, I got her sight unseen I didn’t even know what color she was it didn’t matter to me, she needed me and I needed her💕

😂 by perk up meaning they never get to sleep again or eat in peace the loss of you attention, because the new pet takes up so much of the owners time-totally changes how the older pet gets to live (quality of life)

Good late morning…DH just got home but he’s sitting out in the truck on his phone..anyway…earlier he took the dogs out and had to rush back to his dad’s, the caregiver said to come…his dad wasn’t doing well ..he’s somewhat better now so DH came back home…this is why it’s hard to plan things, well one reason…there’s also DH being so busy and our pets. We’d thought about going out of town shopping today or tomorrow and my sister petsitting but thinking that won’t happen..maybe we can just go to a couple stores here in town. If it’s ok to… Read more »

They probably know enough to judge if to call an ambulance or not. Everyone has to do what they think best. Under these circumstances I personally would not feel like I couldn’t go 30 minutes away. Things could stay like this for months, or be over in seconds where if you were standing in his front yard, you couldn’t get in fast enough.

Exactly Lynn. So it really doesn’t matter if he is 2 hours away working, 30 minutes away shopping, or sleeping at home in his recliner. If something big happens, he probably won’t bet there. And to be honest and blunt, your FIL won’t know whether he is there or not it will be so quick. It sounds like to me it is not the sort of thing where a person would be conscious and you are holding their hand waiting, being with them. Maybe I don’t know what I am talking about.

There is probably nothing that can be done if something happened and you were a block away. Keep that in mind if something does happen when you are 30 minutes away.

Exactly Lynn. So if you are 30 minutes away, and something happens, no guilt. Your presence would still not be guaranteed unless you were standing beside him at the moment. It can happen that quickly where there is no real time anyway.

Good morning Bella Buds. I’ve had tv problems again. I’m not really sure what is going on. When I got up the tv was working as usual since we started having to use the ROKU. Then I started getting the circle of doom and I couldn’t make it go back to tv. I checked the ROKU connections. I checked to see if I could get tv on my iPad. I could so that meant YouTube TV was working. But still no main tv. I checked with the tv in the kitchen which is smart, no roku needed. It worked. So… Read more »

I know. Now I need to figure out what is causing this. The tv is “dumb” now I think. So does that mean the problem is ROKU? Or maybe there is still something about the tv making the ROKU have a hard time doing it’s jon]b. It is all over my head.

I think the tv is about 8.5 years old. Life expectancy of a tv is 5-10 year depending on usage. Our usage is about 16 hours a day! It just stays on from when I turn it on in the mornings about 8 until Jo turns it off at night. Not sure when she turns it off but probably about midnight.
