Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Good afternoon. Well Rick went over to the vet at 9:00 AM And there wasn’t any vet in the office yet so they said they would call us. Here it is 1:20 and no phone call from them yet. So Rick made a phone call and got an answering service that said they couldn’t answer any of our questions but they would leave them a message. I wonder why they have an answering service when they’re open? So I have been busy until now doing laundry, I decided to wash the bedding the blanket close etc in hopes that we… Read more »

If you can’t get in to see the vet might want to try this:

Make a homemade flea shampoo with 1 quart water, 1 cup vinegar, and 1 cup baby shampoo or Dawn dish soap. For a small dog, use ½ cup water, ¼ cup vinegar, and ¼ cup baby shampoo or Dawn dish soap.
Actually the way all of it doesn’t sound like the right proportions, but the ingredients do sound right.

Dawn does kill fleas but its very harsh removes their natural oils in their skin, rescues use it

It won’t hurt if you wait, its not a emergancy, just thought of something mint repells fleas, if you have mint tea bags you can put them in her blanket one less bitting might make her more comfortable?

Can you email your vet? to just ask your questions? Laura’s house sounds like they really fixed it up and a lot of lookers🙄 Grilled chicken is delish and potato salad😋 In the mood for a picnic, your hot there holy smokes. I wish I could ask my vet for you and Nikki like with her meds and all but probably can’t do that, like an over the counter flea soap you can bathe her with. My vet has someone call back right away and you can contact them on line
