Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Julie called briefly because her phone would not send out a text. She always goes outside to cool off. Must really be hot in there. There were a bunch of crows flying overhead, she said they were squaking probably chasing a hawk or eagle. They got frozen rain but the temp was up to 34 and it was melting.
Good morning! Christmas is over for me i’ve got everything put away and trying to put away my gifts. The thing I hate about getting gifts is trying to find room for them. Now I’m doing laundry and a little bit of this and a little bit of that gotta take my nail polish off soon.

I was feeling better but then I put Christmas stuff away and got a box down from the closet and so I heard again not as bad though

Good morning Bella Buds and good, relaxing day for you. Holidays are fun and exciting, but I think most of us breathe easier and enjoy Dec. 26 too! I’m really sleepy and tired today but I’ll perk up as the day progresses. I’ll just take the day as it unfolds. I hope everyone had a truly good Christmas. I know some of you got great gifts. Good morning Debbie Luckily I have a small family, just one sister that comes over on Christmas Eve and I don’t have many presents to buy but I put everything away today and then I have to find room for the gifts that were given to me some have to sit out as decorations which makes it even harder ’cause you already have your house full of stuff
Good morning Ardy. This is one of the reasons I’m not a big fan of exchanging gifts, we have no room. But also so often things are given that the receiver doesn’t want and really is a waste. It is stressful to buy. I don’t think I’m Scrooge, I do like to give. I mostly give gifts that are consumable or cash or gift card to favorite restaurants.
