Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. What am I seeing in the cam. It is not the usual view of the flower pot tree on the patio. Those are big leaves in the fall. Olive doesn’t have eggs in the fall. I guess the leaves could be artificial.

I guess Olive’s nest was always on the little tree on the patio but this has to be a big tree, looks like a maple, but they do grow in S CA.

I keep my cards from year to year. I take out all the ones that were picture cards of people and I put them in a special plastic box in groups because normally the same people make picture cards. And then before I gather up this year’s cards and keep in the basket I will look through the cards I saved from last year and toss the majority of them, let’s say I have one from somebody that passed away from last year well then I usually save that or if it’s especially cute I save it Or if it’s… Read more »
The longer we live the more we have and who is really going to take the time to read something from 30 years ago? I think I just got to get an attitude of throw away the usual, like a card from a friend 20 years ago that basically talks about the vacation they took. Keep the ones that are more important, like my cancer is now in remission. Not really keep it, take a picture, throw away the card itself. I just have so much clutter. I have pictures of cards too but then that does take up space in my photos…I probably have 100,000 pictures!!!!!!! Someday a new laptop probably wont take them all. I still have letters that my Grandma wrote to mom and dad when i was a child, never read them because they are in the closet in a box……I am too sentimental and have to get a different attitude too. The verdict is in, I’m taking pictures. Every year I take a small piece of paper to keep tract of Christmas cards I sent and received. Those papers date to 1989! LOL you’re the survey huh I was thinking about asking everybody in chat Oh well I don’t see anybody chatting today. I do take pictures of cards in a group when it’s like my birthday. I Do the same thing as you I have a piece of paper and I write down all the names and then I check off sent and then I check it off when I get a card from them But I copied the list over every year and then throw it away
