Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Army beat Conn in the Wasabi-Fenway Bowl game today; Coach was running away from the players carrying the Gatorade bucket. Coach was all over the field; but he did too good a job training his men and a Defenseman stopped him. The 3-man Offense with the bucket yelled, “We got him” as they poured the Gatorade over Coach. It was a very funny clip. 😂

DB/Rick’s using his new bathroom heater today; he sure makes things harder than they have to be — Lordy. He’s going to be so warm; their bathroom is about half the size of mine and i’m roasting by the time i step out of the shower and turn it off. Hi Pam it is a beautiful sight! Little nest, little egg, colorful leaves.
I was looking around trying to find out about the nest, when egg was laid, etc. I found that Olive did have an “extensive molt” this summer so it is possible identifying feathers are gone. But they think it is also possible this hummer is an offspring of Olive. I haven’t found for sure when the egg was laid but saw one post where it implied early this morning.
The leaves are so bright!

Could they be renting it out temporarily for the holidays?
It is obvious they are renting but it’s only been for a night or two. The house is listed 4 SALE. I have no idea but I am keeping track.😄
