Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. That was beautiful Deb, thanks for sharing it here. Jewel is really a pretty like bird. I don’t know if it is the light, positioning of the nest, but her grommet is just neautiful like bright jewels. And the salmon colored feathers underneath.
Good evening everyone. 🤗 Thank you all for your sweet well wishes. 😘 I am doing a little better. Still really weak and not able to eat much. Drinking lots of fluids as I can. I really feel sick. Worse flu I’ve ever had. I just finished reading posts. I’m glad you all are well. Hoping all the blood tests turned out ok. I will be up for a bit, I think. Have to get back in that warm bed soon. 🥴
Karen I’m so sorry you have felt so bad. Did you have a flu shot? At least you are feeling a tad better. Keep the liquids up. Maybe Gatorade, a protein drink with the sugar in it. You need the extra calories and energy. Is hubby taking care of Dutchess for you?
Thank you Debbie. Yes I am doing everything I should be doing, and I’m coordinating with my doctor. I can’t really take a flu shot, as my immune system is compromised from years of steroids and other things. But I wear masks all the time and wash my hands, etc. I haven’t been seeing Dutchess too much, hubby is taking care of most of it. 😥 I have a lot of play time to make up. At least I’m finally getting better instead of worse. 🙏
Good girl Karen keep up the good work. It will run itself out. I’m really happy your husband is taking care of Dutchess. I would drag myself up to feed Casey when I was really sick with AFIB. She just struggles so to feed him. But she did everything else. Dutchess and you can catch up when you feel better. She is fine now. Thank you sweet Debbie. I really miss talking to you guys. Feeling kind of lonely. I can’t even think about doing general stuff around the house. I just don’t have it in me. Putting all my strength into thinking about feeling better. I do have Ensure’s and some kind of electrolyte drink on hand. So that helps. I hope to be back tomorrow or the next day. 😍
You just rest Karen, it is the best thing for you, and getting healthy things inside when you can. General stuff can wait. You got a good reason to stay in ned and sleep! So do it. Hugs for you.

Poor baby😔 I would be whining all over the place. I can barely handle the misery of a common cold…lol. Smart girl to hydrate as you can. Are you taking anything for nausea? Ginger ale might help. Ginger root tea or chamomile tea? Both have been known to ease it. Also there are acupressure points you could Google on your hand or forearm that might help.💛
