Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. yes, when the sun shines in the winter here it usually means it’s colder
I can’t imagine that low a temp, especially daytime.
we don’t get as cold as we used to, in past years we would get down t0 -40, now that’s cold, we haven’t had temps like that for a couple years now

Good morning Bella Buds. Sunny, 48. All is quiet here. I need to dry some clothes, cook some frozen green beans, and work on a “pile” today. I have a stack of cards I’m going to take photos of. I may keep some, like a correspondence I have that is on plain notebook paper, a musical card, I don’t know what else. Good morning ladies.. I am going to get my haircut this morning. I had her leave it a little longer last time and it grew out way too fast. There was a beautiful moon this morning just gorgeous with a red ring around it I stayed outside for minutes and admired it
