Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Casey fell from his perch this morning. I think I figured out what is happening. He has a weak leg from the stroke and he compensates well. Birds sleep on one foot at night. They rest on one foot sometimes in the day time, shifting feet. I think he probably starts on his better leg and if he switches feet in his sleep or semi-sleep, he looses his balance and falls. We do. We have a 3 inch thick piece of foam we put under where he perches and cover with paper for his 💩.

Oh my little green buddy😳 Debbie that makes sense about his feet- maybe make him the nest on the bottom with the rolled up towel, I remember you talking about it a while ago, did you see him fall? did he try to flap his wings?
I couldn’t see him because his cage was covered. I’ve seen him and he does flap his wings.
So he’s awake when he falls or just catches himself and flaps
Not necessarily awake. We can change places in bed and not really be awake. But he can be fully awake and lose his balance.
Poor Casey. Must be a scary thing for him. 😢 Glad he doesn’t hurt himself. ❤️

I don’t think they round each item unless you just buy one thing, but round off the total purchase.

yes of course, the whole purchase which will most likely end to some odd cents, why should they get those extra pennies, you figure a store has a lot of customers in one day and each customer’s purchase comes to odd cents, which probably happens more often than not, the store is benefitting not the consumer

since they are rounding both up and down the overall should be minimal.

this is true for people who pay cash (and sometimes I do), it’s not really fair to them…what are they going to do if something comes to $2.13 why should they get the extra money, they should round down instead of up…some will say it’s only pennies but if that’s the case then the establishment shouldn’t mind rounding down

I’m not very said really. But they talk about the cost of making the penny. That argument really isn’t valid because that penny is spent probably thousands of times over it’s lifetime.

Good Morning Ardyth😍 Your bird seed is old if it has the worms in it, the worm eggs are in the seed its self and the hatch out into little moths.I have had that happen too. I store the seed in 5 gallon pails with a tight fitting lid. Next time I get seed I’m checking for an expiration date or a best if used by date. I buy my bird seed at Walmart and I put it in a tin can with a lid and I buy it all the time so I don’t know how old it could be. I don’t really care I’m feeding it to the birds anyway like the lady said the worms are protein for the birds LOL I just painted my toes pink today Now I have to decide what color color street nails to put on tomorrow

Some other person on chat said I go looking for things to do I don’t really I just see things that need to be done I don’t need to go looking It’s right there in front of Me. I cleaned the top of the entertainment center the other day and you would not believe how thick the dust was on top of it. I think part of the problem is the door is right there and dust comes in I don’t know but it was awful
You just want things clean, just like my Mom. You should have your house like you want it. Period. I would only consider it bad if it was a compulsion. Like you are all ready for church, see that dust on your entertainment center, and stay home from church to clean it instead of going to church and cleaning it when you got home. Now, if Nikki got sick and pooped, threw up all over the place, I would not consider it a compulsion to feel you had to stay home and clean that.
