Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Yes!! It was a recipe from JoAnn that some guy made in College.
Brown a pound of hamburger, with a diced onion…add a can of cream of mushroom soup (no water) and a small can of mushrooms…heat together, then lay 2-3 slices of American cheese over it and cover for a few minutes (until the cheese melts) then stir it all together…serve on buns. We usually call them Mushburgers. Curt Gilbert (from Austin) showed me how to make them when I was in College…he was dating Debbie Miller.
She will be walking for hamburger tomorrow.

Survived shopping inside Kroger today; there must’ve been a gazillion people in that place. Got Chuck a Reese’s peanut butter ice cream cake for his b-day next week. It’s his favorite candy bar. They had 1 pumpkin pie and 1 cherry pie left in Marie Callander brand; i got ’em both!
