Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Woke to clouds and rain; got to 46 degrees today, heading way down and snow for tomo! On Monday, the projected precipitation was 1 inch for Friday, now here on Thursday, the projection is a whopping 5 inches tomo 😮❄❄

I dont understand a lot of them but I think these are bats that do hang upside down. The joke is he clipped his toenails so he could not hang on.

Hey Gem. This little hummingbird’s nest is quite bright and colorful. And she is very pretty. I am glad they are on their way home also. It has been a long visit for them and a long absence for us. 😥

49° and chilly out there!!! We are going to lunch with Ricks two stepsisters and one husband and brother from ALaska. Beth lives in Phoenix and Jamie and Mike here in town. We are going to their ♥ favorite Mexican restaurant today, we have never been there before. It is called Karichimaka
