Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Hello…so we went to pick up the picture that DH wanted framed and also talked for awhile…didn’t see the wife or dogs but it was nice…we usually talk about caregiving and our parents…DH’s dad and his mom and MIL…and how we and they rarely go out of town. We were only there maybe an hour..the rest of the day I was pretty lazy, reading, looking at my IPAD, etc…kept it quiet so DH could do his work stuff and cemetery stuff, there’s a meeting this week. I”m home its beautiful out, spent a good amount of time on the phone with my Mom talking about Dad-he does get to leave the hospital Thursday but has to go into a place for rehab and all the places are full she doesn’t want him to go to Duluth or Superior its to far to drive so a nurse is going to help her find a place closer that will do physical therapy. Dad remembered that he talked to me😍 that’s good and he complained about the food😂

My instinct is to recommend Arnica topically but due to his age better due to its anticoagulant side effects.
hope he gets into a place closer. For rehab, my dad was in the nursing home for three months, FIL was there about 4 months, but maybe your dad won’t need to be there that long.

Met Becky at Sycamore and we sat at the picnic table chatting while Toddy did his herding thing which was mostly running around with other dogs or running the fence and barking at the dogs in the big dog section. Weather was perfect for this time of year where with a good coat, hat and mittens it’s wonderful. The sky was a clear beautiful blue.You might like what I’m having for supper – I stopped at the grocer on my way home. I needed a break from eating spaghettini for two days so I got some smoked cajun salmon. When I got home squirted it with lime juice and smothered it in honey, butter and garlic to get it yummy for my taste buds and then nuked it.
Rick made spaghetti last night.

Oh wow Lin that sounds wonderful. So I’m not the only one that likes a sweet sauce on salmon.Did you find the salmon in the frozen meats?
I thought I answered but don’t see it . So, no, it was near deli. Yes, to sweet sauces on salmon. The best! Do make a sauce? I like to add it mandarin orange to the mkx.
I usually just use a store bought sugar free sauce.
So many tasty sauce options out there.

Hi. Sounds like your appetite is back! You must be feeling better🙂 Yes, the citrus and sweet with some heat is tasty.
I toss hot red pepper flakes, lime juice, cilantro, black pepper, honey, garlic and melted butter over the cooked salmon and nuke it. Or add it when baking salmon, I sometimes will add mandarin orange slices.
You are a good cook and I like your sweet tooth. I tend to like savory with sweetness.

That is good Julie. He is getting the help he needs. How about Ashland? Or are you hoping to get him closer than that? Most nursing homes around here do physical therapy. It is usually in its own hall or wing or floor. Good he remembered your talk and of course he complained about the food! Some of what your mother cooked that he complained about probably suddenly sounds really good! He will probably be in rehab 21 days.
Ashland is full something would have to open up, I’m glad about the follow up care and the PT

Sounds like you have the same condition I do – “sweet toothitis” … a condition where a person has not one sweet tooth, but rather a mouthful. Only treatment is having them pulled🤣😂

Goodness I didn’t realize you were having issues with it. Glad it got fixed. Drives me nuts when my phone or TV or iPad aren’t working! Do you get teased for even having a landline still?
