Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I’m telling ya. I eat less and right now i feel hungry . But it is time for bed and NO food that late before bedtime. Oh boy! I drink some water instead now.

Good night Gabi you are doing good. Fill up on low calorie foods, that will fool your brain to think you ate a lot. I drink sugar free drinks which help but I know many don’t want those kind of sweeteners. It will get easier the longer you go.
I drink water, tea, coffee in the morning, but no drinks like that. I dont really like them. I also drink lemon -water.
It seems there is still 1 hummerbaby. The other egg might not hatch.

I thought it but wasn’t sure if I was seeing an egg or egg shell. I kept trying to get a better view but every time I looked, Jewel was on the nest. If the second egg doesn’t hatch today I think it won’t. The first egg hatched Wednesday.
Was thinking the same thing hatch wise. Needs to hatch NOW.
Good morning…DH came home for an hour, has to head back to his dad’s now for a few hours…we might go out for a bit later. I was thinking we could maybe use the Dunkin gift card and go to a store or two…also maybe stop by FIL’s so I can meet the new caregiver..she loves animals so thought it would be fun to take the dogs there.
