Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. She has congestive heart failure and some fluid around the right lung so she is on fluid pills now and has quite the schedule so that i have to write it ou to keep track of it.

Thank you for your good wishes. Lab work to check iron and stuff. A lot of the eagles are having problems this this year, except NEFL. The youngest of the two little babies has just started pulling whatever fish s/he wants closer and snacking on it. So adorable. Nest well-stocked. At least 9 fish yesterday! Beau is a good mate for our Gabby. Sleep good. Hope for good things tomorrow. 😘😍

There was a law pertaining to Cuba from 1966 to I think 2017 that basically said if a Cuban reached American soil they were legal. He came during this period. Apparently sometime he divorced his first wife and she burned all his legal papers. He remarried my cousin’s daughter and they have lived together many years. He just got detained, and so,show know someone important who got legal papers and overnighted them. I don’t know much about the Cuban’s situation but they were having papers overnighted to them, so I’m sure they know what to do. Vienna is Nancy’s great grand. Apparently marrying an American does not give legal status and it seems je could be deported. I don’t know all about why so many come here illegally but I think it is very difficult for average or poor people to get legal status unless they are from certain countries. Oh well, uncontrolled immigration is a BIG problem here, too. Different here: people are illegal, go from one EU state to another, get benefits and payments in different states , dont get arrested and when they become criminal ,they still stay here. And bring all their family members, too. I dont like that either. Criminals at least should be deported. They showed a typical immigrant family from eastern europe on tv. I’m sorry for the turmoil in your country. I particularly hate censorship. That is how the government can control citizens, when the flow of information becomes one sided. I’m surprised this censorship is happening in a democracy. I think most of our immigrants want to work. But they have to use dead people’s social security numbers to work. They can’t get government benefits this way, the government would know it is stolen. But they can get work this way.
Its not only censorship with newspapers, its also limited freedom of speech. When saying something , it can happen that you get looked at like an enemy of the mainstream, depends on what you say. We do have free elections, but we have a bundeskanzler now, who broke and breaks his promises. Most germans are upset and not content with him. To me he is no good and i dont trust him. I had eyes to see the videos myself. We may have seen a lot more than your journalists. Slow motion, videos taken by many of the people there from different angles, freezing the video. Is a “Bundeskanzler” different from a president or prime minister?

Another pipeline -blow -up- guy is another ukrainian. He is a free man in poland. Poland government said that he did good. He destroyed german things though. German officials wanted him in germany but poland doesnt extradite him. Nice !! Not. And poland is an EU country like we are. Its a shame.
I got involved in the story of Lawrence Anthony tonight. He rescued a rogue herd of elephants (a family of 9 who had suffered human abuse), by getting close to the matriarch and convincing them to live on land he had bought for them – the Thula Thula Reserve. They grew from 9 members to 30. Such a heartwarming, fascinating true story. Now I’m going to take time to eat. Glad I don’t have many responsibilities, like a brood of kids to take care of. 😂
Where are these elephants and how were they abused by people? Doesn’t sound like they were in captivity.
They are in South Africa. They had been abused by humans. Humans had also killed their matriarch and some of their babies, making them angry and destructive. Humans attempted to lock them up, but they kept breaking out, as they were so frustrated. It was finally decided that they would be killed on sight. Lawrence Anthony thought he could help and bought some land for a reserve and actually saved the lives of their herd. He was able to bond with the matriarch. It’s a fascinating, in-depth story. They are at the Tuhla Tuhla Reserve in South Africa now.
That is some story Karen. Wow. I thought South Africa was a more civilized country than to have stuff like this happening.
He started on the program in 1998. I think it took him a few years to establish their trust and get it all going. Yes, I thought it was a beautiful story. It brought tears to my eyes.

Ok lets try this again, I bundled up at went out to the garage to get pork chops out of the freezer, then I went for a walk the sky is pretty the moon is almost full and lots of stars-it felt good walking😍

I did and I froze them 2 to a bag, it was a mixed pack of pork chops I think this one might be the pork steaks?
