Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. If I was able to hang with Judy yesterday we could of stopped at Fleet farm and got litter oh and I need bird seed-maybe a walk up to the Ace Hardware to get some,think about that one? anyhow have a good monday

Good morning Sunshine and happy day to you. So you can get kitty litter but not bird seed at your Dollar Store. How far is it to Ace? I’m sorry you didn’t get to go to Fleet Store, and sorry for Judy’s brother. Do you have an update on him?our wild birds are not eating much seed now. I think maybe there is more natural food right now they prefer, plus no juveniles.
I would get cat litter at Walgreens the dollor stuff is just clay litter not scoopable, the hardware store is past the corners-like 5 more blocks. Talked to Judy last night-her brother was feeling better, I told her to make him some jello and it stayed down so that was a plus, and he likes jello. He couldn’t eat a regular meal last night.
My dad drank jello when he was very sick. It was easier for him than eating it. That is a long way to go for bird seed. You really need to get into delivery.
And you can get sugar free jello😋 its a nice sunny day, I would enjoy the walk

I did! He lives in Arkansas and travels all over, gone for weeks at the time. Got my flannel sheets on and an electric throw. I’ll probably seldom use the electric part.

The eagles were so cute inspecting their nest. I can just hear them talking to each other. Honey, it doesn’t look to bad. You just go and get a few sticks. Not too small, not too big, just medium ones, just right! Gotta get it right for the kids.

Hi Debbie. Yw. Jackie and Shadow probably have fixed it, as well as they can, anyway. I haven’t watched the video of them working on it yet. I actually haven’t been to that site for a few days. But I probably wouldn’t have noticed it, because the cam is never on that particular view.
I think CA is supposed to have a lot more rain? Hope the nest doesn’t loose any more. I haven’t heard about wind.
