Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Yes, it was nice and warm, and I had my parka in the back seat, ready to go at any moment. 🤩
This morning I had plans to meet Dave at Denny’s at 8:00. We meet for breakfast once a year for his birthday. We met early because he anss Steve are going to England in April. He picked up the tab which was nice. Rick had a lab follow up with Julie…..hs said she broke her foot/toes and had a “boot” on and could hardly walk. So that probably had something to do with her cancelling my appointments. His hand hurts from his fall and his arm has a couple good bruises.
Rick is grilling burgers for supper tonight. It is 82°

Rick’s pain isnt bad, its his hand where he feels it when he puts pressure on it.
He tripped on the driveway, one of those freak things.
Did Julie check it out for him?

It’s not that bad, he even pulled weeds in the garden today.
He can use it, and sometimes using it is the best thing to do😘 I’m thinking of pulling weeds and not for a while as I look out at the snow, but it will be melting soon

Prostrate #’s are OK….He goes back to specialist in a year and has to have an MRI BEFORE HE GOES

it’s nice that there’s another February person! I was always jealous of my sister, whose birthday is in June! But..I do like that you can buy heart donuts, heart cupcakes, and I just like the Valentine’s decorations and hearts.

Good afternoon…my sister and I went to the coffee shop, got breakfast sandwiches and I got a chai tea. We also went to the book store and a shop that has fancy dresses (she has a fancy wedding to go to in the spring)…and it was fun to look. She went back to our mom’s to watch ice dancing and then leave to go home, might be on her way now. I forgot to say I liked the pictures from yesterday…Julie’s hair, love the color! and Ardy’s superbowl snacks looked yummy!
