Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. How are we even keeping up lately ladies? Westminster, the Australian Open, Basketball championship, Super Bowl, the Olympics, the Grammys, and there’s another one that I can’t think of. I’m tired just thinking about it all.
The Olympics are especially hard. There are so many forms of each sport and I’m never sure where they are in the process.
And so many different networks or stations and viewing times.

The darn F-35 jets are flying over, its night training they are so loud it hurts my ears

I love fighter jets! I live about 8 miles from an airport. They fly right over my house, as well as commercial traffic. I’m used to it. I understand the sound is bad though. I’m sorry it bothers you. It looks like an F-35 fighter jet. They are awesome!!
It is a F-35 but its not just one jet there’s usually 4, its a long lasting sound,I have commercial jets go over I don’t even notice them.The F35’s remind me of war. That’s what people hear before they are bombed😪
I know. The noise bothers me too. Although I like to watch. They have to be tested. They are our first line of defense on our soil. Not just in Washington, and not just on military bases. I grew up as a kid scared to death of the Russians coming to get me. I know what you mean.
Because they are training I’m afraid of one crashing in our neighborhood, it would destroy blocks of houses if that happened, and they do crash
Very true, we had a Thunderbird crash here several years ago about a mile from my house. About 35 years ago we had a commercial aircraft crash in the Park 2 miles from my house. The whole thing just sunk right into the ground. Nothing left anywhere. Horrifying!! And like I said, they fly over me all the time. I just keep thinking, they have to be somewhere.. 😘 and if it’s my time to go, that would be a really quick way to do it.
You should have heard the Concorde. Heard it in 1985. It doesn’t fly here anymore. It is — I can’t even tell you how loud it is.

It doesn’tmake me safe having these jets that are able to carry nukes makes us a target for being bombed to destroy the jets-having them here is dangerous
They would bomb us anyway if they wanted to, jets or no jets. Better to have jets. I wouldn’t think they carry nukes over the U.S.. Other nations test their jets also. We have to be ready.
That is bad. Seems these bases and training could be in more remote areas.

No, they do most of the work through government contractors. They save a lot of money that way. Even if I had worked at the level level of a Captain or an upper GS level, I was still a civilian.
As a teacher I was a civilian. My town is very small, but I’ve heard people who considered the retirement benefits good.
I’ve heard that for the most part, teachers get paid from excellent retirement plans. I think they all have some sort of PERA. Is that right? In any event, they don’t get paid near enough while they’re teaching. A good teacher is everything! I remember going into Biology as a high school freshman and being scared to death, and I hated the subject. But it was a prerequisite. When its every single day and over and over again then they fly at night too it gets to be a lot, I can’t talk on the phone can’t hear the TV its just very invaisive to my well being and it makes my ears buzz inside
