Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Oh no, Butterfly! 🦋. 😧 I’m sorry you were all by yourself for so long. 😥 Kind of a lonely feeling. I got so involved in my cleaning up, that I actually cleaned out a whole closet by myself. It is about 7 feet tall by 6 feet wide, with a couple of shelves. Had a lot of old stuff in there that I tossed. I’m still not done. I wish I could buy you a lollipop and put a smile on your face. 🍭🍭. Maybe some ice cream 🍨. What will you have for supper? I hope you get… Read more »

They have them at Walgreens, they are forced bulbs in water, I got myself flowers, they are sitting in snow for the picture-these were the only orange/yellow ones the had all the rest were red blooms. I can plant these bulbs in the fall for next year. I just needed some flower life😍🌷

I love that Debbie, thank you. 💗 It was very easy to read; you did a good job. I still watch that commercial every day. Mr. McCarty is a lucky man, being able to work with our magnificent bald eagles.

Hi Karen I loved reading the early days of Lincoln. I always wondered why he was in captivity tic he could fly so well over a Hugh stadium.

Hi Debbie. Same here. He seemed to fly so beautifully. He may have been able to do just fine with humans, if he found the right ones. But, he probably wasn’t taught how to protect himself very well either, so it all worked out pretty well for him, I guess. They say he enjoys it, and I know it’s possible to read their personalities.
