Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. When the Olympics are live I understand why they switch around events. But at our prime time nothing is live. So why can’t they finish one event before they go to another. I was watching couples skating which I like, and they switched to speed skating which I don’t.
“Yeah, what she said.” 🤣 I think the answer is that they just haven’t found a good way to televise the Olympics, even with all the technology available.

Well, got to 55 today; watched a lot of Olympics, other than that, there was nothing going on. I did order a new calendar, whoop-de-doo. My current one from the Lighthouse Society and it’s lovely. It also has absolutely NOTHING denoting yearly holidays/events. I didn’t notice until i went to see Ash Weds/Easter. And saw all those little boxes completely empty save for the date.🙄
Sounds like a good day to me! Macie wins the title of the great lap alone. Of course she is an only furbaby. 😁

I did enjoy the show, I just wish I knew a little more Spanish. 😅 I, too, am still looking up missed commercials. There were a lot I don’t remember at all. I think maybe I was so excited to see the Bud commercial that I didn’t pay too much attention to the other ones.

Hello…watched the Olympics and took a short nap…also did a load of laundry and washed all the pet bowls…took a very short nap…not sure but might be going to FIL’s tonight…depends on how late DH gets home, he’s out of town.
Hi Lynn! I had to take a short break from chasing the Olympics around. If I miss it on nbc, I had to go hunting for it everywhere else on youtube. Not really complaining, but I wish there was a way I could just watch all of it whenever I wanted to – continuous programming. I hope your night works out good for you. 🙂
Hi Karen…I just keep NBC on..if I miss some of the skating I find the videos or the replay at night…they also replay it really late but too late for me.
Hi Lynn. 🥰 I usually keep it on NBC, but I’m up and down and I can’t record or fast forward or rewind, so that’s usually pretty messy. But it’s so much better than when NBC had all of its affiliates showing the Olympics at the same time : USA, Bravo, Oxygen, etc. That was nuts! 😧
I can’t record or anything either…a couple times I went to USA but wasn’t interested in what they were showing then, just seemed the more popular sports were on NBC
