Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Oh Pam that is just bad. I’ve never had a situation like this! Do you have any way to at least run fridges/freezers? How do you cope? I’d be packing my suitcase and going on a mini vacation or visit somewhere. Bless your heart I’m so sorry.

I only had 190 calories today because of the trip and I am hungry! I was determined to wait until my usual time of about 8. Yes I know I eat late! Right before I was ready to eat friend Nancy called, we talked an hour. So finally I have supper, giving it a minute to cool just a little and I am eating!

Just in the door. Wanted to tell you all that Bella and Scout at the NCTC eagle nest (SPO) have an egg. Bella laid it yesterday. They lost their 3 eaglets last year due to a windstorm that took the nest down. I’m going to go eat now. Julie, do you have something you can take for your back? I hope it starts feeling better soon. Well today I didn’t do much I hurt my back slipping a little in the shower, I have hand rails, but I slipped alittle and ended jerking my back catching myself, decided going for a walk wasn’t a good idea so I have been taking it easy its quite sore as I’m sitting here I laid down for a bit this after noon
I need to go lay down sitting hurts to much, try to stop back later

Hello!!!!!!!!! Rick and I met Jamie, Mike, Beth and Cherie at Ole for lunch.
I had the cheese/potato soup and cheese enchilada lunch special.
I also called the airlines and I am booked to go to MN the end of July!!!!!!!
It will be 8 long years since I have seen JoAnn.
I am going to take a shower now and will be back!!!
Food looks terrific! Good photos and I’m sure a very good time. I knew it was pre-Covid since you have seen JoAnn but didn’t really think 8 years. But now that I think it has been 6 years since Covid started, no wonder! That is going to be such a great trip to look forward to.
I could go to England this summer, but I think it would be too much for me. I’ve never been abroad.

I was supposed to go see JoAnn in 2020…..then covid and i didnt want to fly for a few years and they looked for lake homes and then they moved and needed time to get settled,

Yes and they have loons, bears and eagles!!!! They also have a pontoon!!
I will have to be careful when i walk their long dirt driveway in the woods.

I was starting to worry as there werent many early flights and they were booking up fast but this nice man looked for an hour to find me what i was looking for.

I wanted to land in Minneapolis as early as possible because JoAnn decided it would be smarter to go to Austin from the airport, have pizza at Georges and go drinking downtown…..then go to the SPAM shop and a few other stops and then head to Aitkin a 5 hour drive for the week. I have friends there because that is where i grew up. But we wont get there until 5:00ish..check in motel…..go out next morning see a couple things, spam museum and head to Aitkin…..she was kind enough to make sure i will make it to my hometown…could be the last time i go there…..but a very quick trip…really dont want to stay two nights.
