Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Hello…back home…took awhile at the groomer but that’s done for awhile…then walked at the cemetery and then got a Chicago dog and walking taco and regular taco for me…the reg one was to bring home, the rest we ate in the truck. People are actually out today…kids next door playing soccer, other neighbors out with their toddler and baby, a guy I know went walking by…it’s a little windy at times but not a cold wind. I’m tired but don’t want to nap during this nice weather..maybe I’ll go out and pick up some sticks…watching more Olympics tonight.

Hi Lynn how do a walking taco and regular taco differ? Let’s see, is it a Chicago dog that has slaw? People are taking advantage of the nice day and cabin fever for so long.

a walking taco is in a cup or some put it in a little fritos or Doritos bag, whichever chips you choose…mine had Doritos, lettuce, cheese, tomato, taco meat, sour cream, etc..no slaw on the Chicago dog…tomato, onion, relish, mustard, dill pickles, sports peppers, celery salt, on a poppy seed bun…and all beef hot dog.

also you get a fork with the walking taco, easier to eat than regular tacos if you aren’t at a table.

The walking taco sounds wonderful. I’d rather have the walking taco if I was sitting at a table. The hot dog sounds delicious.

I like that you can eat them anywhere..regular ones would be hard to eat walking around or in a truck, kind of messy.

I would enjoy eating it that way because I don’t like a mess! C

no 😂 that’s why we stay and he has to hold Bane, he’s not good…the last groomer they said next time to give him a tranquilizer but this place doesn’t do that.

Did you ever check out a groomer coming to your house? My friend Judy does that for her new pup as he can be a real hand full-he’s much better at home

Hi Lynn. You got a lot of stuff going on too, but I guess you are used to it. Do you take both dogs to the groomer by yourself?

Good morning Bella Buds. 45 and sunny, it will be a good day for a Somerset trip. Yes I’m going to see the rheumatoid NP. Routine, but I want to better understand a new test I had last time, take Enbrel I still have that I can’t use, and ask her to check my cholesterol for my primary doc as I know she will do other blood work. Primary wants it before my March visit. I’ll also have results in time for next weeks cardio. So no cookie for me this morning! 😒. But she said I can have black… Read more »

They do have nice Aldes bags I have had to buy one or two because I did bring enough bags, for me bags are easier than using a box as far as lifting

theirs don’t have handles though if I remember right…the grocery here that has the good deli has big bags with handles, really like those and like to take donations in them. DH likes how they are organized and standing up in the the boxes…we separate our stuff from his dad’s.

The ones I did get did have handles they are plastic, they worked good you could snap them closed at the top were double layered like for frozen items or meat-they cost I think 50 cents was the cost
