Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good morning…it’s only in the 20s now, will get into the 40s but supposed to be windy so another day to mostly stay inside. I have some laundry to fold and put away, maybe put away some winter/ Valentine’s decorations this week before March, and look to see if I have any kids’ shirts and pants for my friend/Uganda…I still have a tote filled with DS’s clothes. oh and Debbie, yes so cool that AI is in Nashville! I’ve been there a couple times and loved it! DH was at a seminar for a few days…I had DS with me and went on a bus tour of the country stars..DS fell asleep, lol…we walked all over also, went to a couple museums…one night went to a restaurant with DH and a cowboy opened the door for me and said “I’ll git it for ya, ma’am! 😀also we went to the Grand Ole Opry Hotel.
It is funny how throughout all the audition stages they still called it Hollywood Week. I imagine Luke Bryant and Carrie Underwood are happy about it because they live in the area, can actually commute to work. Probably why they are doing this.

Hey Pam, I need to get going myself. I got up early today, and I thought I would be able to get everything done that I was supposed to, but . . . I still need to finish wrapping the small sausages and get them in the freezer so they don’t go bad. They are little two to three inch sausages that I have to have when I eat pancakes and eggs. I’m glad you got the shoe inserts. I have worn them they will help a lot. I didn’t know they helped the hallux problem so I learned something. They help fallen arch a lot! Other foot problems. When you get them give your foot time to adapt, maybe war for short, then longer times. I’m sure your doc told you this.
Doc said that i also have a transverse arch of the foot , which has sagged. I have also a splay foot and fallen arches, oh my goodness. It should help the hallux, too, from what he said. I get 2 sets of shoe inlays, 1 for the sneakers i wear most and 1 for house-shoes. I bought some really good new house-shoes today, i can take the original sole out and put inlay in, just like i will do with my sneakers. He didnt tell me to adapt, so i am glad YOU told me. It is just the last 5 or so blocks of Broadway then the River. It is where the honky tonks, bars, record shops, and continuous country music is.

Well, in Colorado.
Half of Colorado is all plains though. But Pikes Peak and the mountain ranges make up for it. I would be so lost if I could not look at Pikes Peak and figure out what direction I was heading when out and about.
I’ve been a very deprived person. I’ve only lived in TN and KY. The furtherest west I’ve been is the Houston/Dallas area, just thru there on the way to Laredo. And New Orleans.
There is just so much to see, I know. Most of my traveling happened when I was a kid. I never really wanted to go anywhere else. If I could have, I probably would have stayed in Alabama all my life, with my family. New Orleans scares me.

Bourbon Street, the architecture, flowers, just a charming fun city.

No that isn’t what I would call it. Beautiful, full of charm and fun both.

An interesting statistic, you have gone there seven times and never made Mardi Gras. Sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed yourself every time you went, though. What was the music fest like?
It’s on the fairgrounds, 6-8 stages with different bands; gospel, jazz, blues, rock, etc. you get the picture. It’s the last weekend of April and 1st weekend of May – 4 days each

It didn’t used to be this way, Debbie. Back in the 60s and 70s and maybe ’80s, we had all kinds of blizzards and really bad stuff. Cars totally covered up by snow, etc. But we handled it. Thought it was normal.
I always pictured all of Colorado as having a lot of snow. When you live on the other side of the country, you picture a whole state like what that state is most known to be. Colorado is where there is snow and ski resorts. California is mostly sunny. Utah is Sin State (not city). I guess I do it on this side of the country. I think of New York and New Jersey states as one very big city. All of Florida is a vacation state, no agriculture! What they grow a lot or oranges and horses? Even vegetables?
That’s true, unless you live there and don’t see the differences. I see Arizona as having cactuses everywhere. Looks kind of like a large aquarium when you’re just driving in for the first time. I see Montana as all cowboys with ranches. I’m still trying to figure out what Washington (US capital) is.
