Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I still haven’t had a chance to turn my kitchen clock back. I have to use a pair of pliers. Anyway, everyone is probably watching Idol, as it is on Central Time and Eastern Time right now. It will be on here in about half an hour. Right now I’m going to go make supper for Dutchess. Then I will be back, and we will see what the evening brings. 🥰 I see tornado warnings in Louisiana and Alabama I believe. 🙏

Hi Ardyth. Dutchess is doing better than she was last night, ty. The medicines seem to be starting to work, and I’ve got her schedule in order. 🙏I just have to see how she does now that our day is over and we settle into the night.
Does she have a follow up at the vet, either the ER one or your usual one? Is she eating? I think you said you fixed her chicken and rice.
No follow-up, unless there are problems. I only saw an ER vet. I don’t have a permanent vet, as I haven’t found one I like yet. They always love the chicken and rice.
I hope she is all well and feeling spiffy soon! But it is best when she is doing good you have a vet picked out. Ask for recommendations from people in your community. Maybe there is a community chat on Facebook. Ask for recommendations. Not just a clinic, but specific vet.
I am looking for a down home vet. I had a good vet for 23 years, but then he retired. I don’t know if they make them like that any more. Everyone’s too busy and they don’t really care about the specific animals. I want a vet who, when we walk in, says good morning Karen and Dutchess, how are y’all doing today? Asking too much, I think.

Oh dang!!! I wish I was there. It sounds so good! That’s my perfect meal, steak, potato and salad.
