Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. GGGGGGGood Morning Bellas its a balmy 7 out there feels like -2, birds are singing suns shining. Good morning…got a text from DH, no caregiver and he doesn’t know when he’ll be home..which means I’ll have to take Bane out before too long and it’s brrrr outside….by that time Scout will need to go out again, too…I always have his coffee ready but he can warm it up. I had my vanilla hazelnut (eco pod) and made him Hawaiian roast. Not sure yet what I’m doing today but will try to be somewhat productive, lol..

Hi Debbie. I haven’t had the guts to go outside and check for any damage yet. Tmrw. I talk to my granddaughter about every couple of weeks, to once a month, or so. Nothing major really. I actually just fell asleep at the table very briefly, long enough to drop my phone. Going to get up and move around for a bit. Must be from being awake half the night.
That is wonderful for you Karen. I’m so happy this happened. Oh dear Karen. Does your husband still not do anything? I’d want to know what is outside. At least it can’t be too bad. You would know if a tree hit the house.
He’s kind of a dead beat. He didn’t start out this way. Quite the opposite. All the years of taking care of me and almost losing me 3 times may have played a part. He’s off and on. I will drag him out with me when I go to check for damage. Either that, or no groceries for him! 😈 My table sleep is from low sugar. I have to pop a semi-sweet candy or chug some apple juice, which helps. So does moving, for some reason. 🤔
Sounds like your husband once did a lot to take care of you. I guess he has been through a lot too, then his foot infection, amputation.
So the doc said you have low sugar causing you to sorta pass out. Related to diabetes? Maybe eat more frequent small meals?
I previously had diabetes, which I got from taking Prednisone for asthma. Once I was able to get off the Prednisone, the diabetes went away. But now it’s opposite sometimes. Weird, I know.

I’m glad you are off that prednisone. I have some but I rarely take it. Would it help you to have a diabetic monitor so you can know when you blood sugar is getting low so it doesn’t sneak up on you, and you know to drink some juice?
I haven’t looked into wearing a diabetic monitor yet. I have the normal equipment where I can check it at will, but I don’t know about going any further.
How have you been feeling lately? Don’t EVER use or get hooked on Prednisone unless you absolutely have to. The side effects can be awful. Why were you prescribed prednisone?
For the rheumatoid arthritis. It is a small PRN dose. I probably last took it about Christmas time.
Oh dear. I was afraid of that. I know you have to battle RA, but I hate the risks.
I’m not taking it enough to worry about. I’m taking Orencia and Hydroxychloroquine.

Don’t they make a monitor now you don’t have to prick yourself, like read it through the skin?
Maybe now that you know what makes you fall asleep unexpectedly you can be more aware and know on your own to drink a little juice.
The monitors have to be refilled and it costs about $50 to $100 a month, I think. I could be wrong though, they may have improved them.

Makes sense to me, even start out with apple juice in the morning and eat a banana during the day. My Mom is suppose to eat 5 small meals a day, My Mom uses fruit for the meals and that works good for her😘

I use that plate to do Casey’s supper because I heat it in the microwave. It is all real people food. Then I rinse it off and use it for my food. One less plate to wash.
