Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

We went to Shooters to have a drink, sat on the patio and I hate to say this but it was hot!!!!! 93° right now
It wasnt very exciting at 1:30 in the afternoon. Then i talked to our “neighbors” that are moving because of the druggies. I wanted to say goodbye since i used to see him when i walked before he retired. Corned beef is cooking.

I’ve never cooked cabbage in a crock pot. I do like it tender. Not too much of a green taste.

Lightly cooked has a different taste than softer cooked. A green taste is like a slightly raw taste, but still cooked.

Checking back in, I went for a walk, had to check out what they did across the street with the digging from last night then walked to the dollar store for temptations stopped by the happy store for some Guinness beer-I forgot it was girl scout cookie time and they sell the cookies there to help out the girl scouts so of course I had to get some😋😂

Thats the hole they dug they had to remove dig up the sidewalk and the terrace it was a lot of digging it came from the house to the street, its really a mess. They had to check out the underground pipes to make sure they weren’t leaking from the car impact, they will be back to fix this at some point, new sidewalk, this is going to cost someone a pretty penny😳

I got to talk to my Dad for a bit to wish him a Happy Paddy’s day, took me a while to get through-no one was at the nurses station but it finally worked my Dad can’t answer the phone he has to have someone do it for him-he sounded so frail but also he talked good like he carried on a conversation. My Mom and brother are going to see him today, my Mom is making him a Rueben sandwich one of his favorite things😋 I also talked to my Mom today🍀

That is really good Julie. I’m so glad you called him, got to talk to him. Nursing Homes and hospitals can make you weak, even with physical therapy. You still walk less, move less, lay more, even talk less. He will eat good and be happy.

I’m so glad you got to talk to your Dad, Julie! As Debbie said, maybe he is sounding frail because they are wearing him out at physical therapy. That’s their job, after all. 🙂 I bet he will really love that sandwich. It’s so nice to get home cooked food when you’re in the hospital. So sweet of your Mom. 💕

oh yes, it would be even noisier and would have to be a few bowls and then it would drip in between them

I understand. My helper is in some kind of funk mode and just doesn’t help. I’m going to start trying to find some charitable groups who can help me, I think.
