Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Well, I got laundry and my pedicure done, but wont apply color street nails until Friday. Tomorrow I will do my toes.
Rick got the swamp running but, such a hassle. It never goes smooth from season to season. He had to go back to the place to ask how something went to and from the roof …things just werent going well. He was tired and now his hip hurts, this is what happens….you get too old to be doing this.
Oh, I did give Nikki a trim, brushing and a bath and blow-dry…she is a pretty girl now.
Oh poor Rick. Yes, it gets to the point it is better to just write a check if at all possible. Pretty Nikki!
We prefer coolers but i know he isnt going to pay anyone…..it will come to an end someday….maybe sooner than not

Can you keep windows open with coolers, or best to shut them?
You have to have a few windows cracked for them to work properly.
Can you actually open them, or cracks better?
Well if you slide them way open that would let too much hot air, we just crack the bathroom window and our doors are open so it worked fine

I agree…my DH goes up on the roof and I think his dad did when he was in his 80s.
One fall and poof its over, I don’t think its worth the risk
He is still able to go on the roof. Swamp coolers need maintenance Every year.
He is still capable of doing it. It’s just the swamp cooler needs work every year!!!
Have you ever painted Nikki’s toe nails? I used to paint Maggies, she would just sit and let me do it, I usually painted them red or pink😘

I agree, just one thing after another when you own a home. I just really don’t want to live in an apartment though. It gets pricey, and with insurance rates going up all the time due to the floods and fires, it’s not going to get any better to pay for replacing things. I bet Rick is frustrated. 😥

OMG, I saw a special on reducing air temps in Arizonas cities and in Phoenixbecause of the radiant heat coming from roads they are spraying roads with something that reflects the heat, also planting heat and drought tolerant trees, shade trees can reduce the air temp by 25 degrees

Good late morning…the sun is shining and there has been some melting even though it’s cold.
