Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

I’m going to see what’s on TV and lay back down, and get warm have a good night sweeties😘
😁Good night Julie. Jave a good evening. I know your food is wonderful!
Beautiful, dah-ling!
Goodnight, sweetie. 🌹
Beautiful Jade — 😄
Julie: Ramen
😋
There it is my one pot wonder, I’m going to eat while its hot😋
My ramen never turns out looking that good! Enjoy, Julie. 💗
Just keep adding stuff to it😂
😘
I am going to be busy for a little bit wrapping homemade dog food and freezing it. I spent a few hours the night before last making it, and I don’t want it to go bad. 😜🐶
Get it done Karen Marie😘
Will do. 🫡 🙂
Don’t want the good stuff to spoil!
😂 I would have done it last night, but I fell asleep sometime. I don’t even know when. I have gotten totally exhausted during this process. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. It’s been well worth my time and effort, and I wouldn’t have it any other way, I just haven’t caught up yet. 🥱 😍
I wondered where you went last night. You are a good mama Karen. You are taking the nest care of your naby, that is why she is getting better.
Thanks, Debbie. I remember I was chatting, and then it was 4:10 a.m., I think, and I was holding my phone, saying, why won’t this work!? I have no idea what I was talking about. 😂🤣
That is funny Karen. You didn’t fall asleep at the table did you?
No. I was sitting up in bed. 😘
At least you were on a soft bed.
Stopping back in for a bit, I’m cooking ramen added a bunch of stuff to it and making it a meal, I added cubed boneless chicken thigh, carrots mushrooms peppers and brussel sprouts sliced thin, will crack an egg in it to make it like egg drop soup and then chopped green onion, I have a chill from walking in the wind before and I needed soup😋
Wow! You can really do things to food!! Sounds like real healing food made after hours of cooking! Enjoy, Julie. 🌸
I need to use things up-so I just throw things together and its a one pot wonder, I love making them😋 they are never the same I don’t follow a recipe ever😂Hi there Lady Bug😘🐞 hows your day been?
You are just good at it. I would never have thought of putting together ramen, brussel sprouts and an egg . . . 🤗😂
Sorry I missed this, Butterfly🦋😍. My day has been busy, trying to catch up a little bit. Over all, though it’s been okay. I’m glad you enjoy cooking. I’m glad you got a nice walk in today, also. I need to start doing that if I can. 😘
That sounds wonderful Julie. You are right, you made a gourmet meal from simple ramen noodles. It will be delicious. It is like in a fancy restaurant, you look at the soup part of the menu. One is $5.99, $6.50, $7.99, then there is one $12.99. Yours is that $12.99 one.
Sounds good Julie!!!!
Wow this was a surprise to me.
cool
Is there water near by?
It said there was a retention pond. But this is a huge appliance factory in the middle of Louisville. They must have stocked the pond.
Hi Debbie. 😘 I am still not on my game, whatever it is, so I ask: Why are you surprised?
Because where its located
Got it. Thank you. 🤗
See Julie’s answer. She is right. This is smack in the middle of a good size city. The Ohio river is several miles away. Why not somewhere on that river? But I know Berry in GA is a college campus. But this is a factory.
River is not that far away, they like the tree😘
I like it too, they look beautiful in it. ♥️
Ok, thanks. 🤗
Howdy-do BellaFam 💖 Went into La Junta to get my car title changed over from the bank to me; i’ll get it in a couple weeks. Then treated myself to a lovely b-fast at Village Inn. The one we have out here is very, very good; I always have a good experience there. The management/staff are the best. I had their Eggs Benedict Florentine; instead of Canadian bacon, poached eggs comes with spinach, tomatoes, Swiss cheese on a toasted English muffin; it was excellent. And i just couldn’t help myself, they had fresh strawberry crepes as a meal, but they… Read more »
What a cute otter, Pam! Thanks.
So nice you had such a great day!!! You own your car!!! Yay! And such a great meal. 🤗
Hi Karen ♥ I’m pretty excited about the car. How’s your fur-baby?
Hi Pam 🌹I bet you are excited! It takes so long to pay them off. Dutchess is acting more normal every day, thank you. 🥰 I’m excited about possibly seeing her at 100% again. I’m still trying to figure out how she got a UTI, though.
Great news about Dutchess. People just get UTI’s like any other infection, guess dogs do too.
i think it’s less likely if they drink enough water, hard to get some pets to do that, though..well at least cats.
We used to have Village Ins her, not anymore, sadly.
Coffee snob….😍
Cute Otter.
Thanks about the Wildcats!
I would really like that breakfast and reading a book there also. Steve, the otter, is cute!
I have a bunch of Steve’s memes — he’s pretty funny.
You had a great day Pam😘I had a cat named Otter he lived up to his name😍
First of all, a tremendous congratulations on paying off your car. That is a wonderful accomplishment and a very happy moment. Wow that breakfast sounds delish. I don’t think I’ve ever had stuff like that. I’ll have to google to even remember what it is but I know very good! You desired to reward yourself. Cute putter.
Lots of parents have trouble with separating from their kids, especially such a distant. That is where he is stationed, right? Did you visit with Cody/Laura by phone?
I just saw that there’s a new Covid 19 variant going around and it’s called the Cicada Great And it’s been direct detected in 23 countries
YIKES! I see more hibernating in my future 😟
🤯
And we’re the last to hear about it, I bet. By the way, bleach won’t cure it. 😲
neither will ivermectin 🙄

Thanks Ardyth. I saw it was first detected in the US in June of 2025. Sounds about right. 🤯
OMG thanks for the heads up Ardyth😘
