Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Home now..had a strong storm that didn’t last long…I guess..at least it’s quiet now but still raining and will be for awhile..think we’ve had enough rain for awhile now. We went to Aldi after FIL’s for cream and a couple other things..then I got a sandwich at a drive thru…my sister is eating leftovers at our mom’s…she’s not sure about coming over later, depends on the weather.
Good that you got out for awhile. I’ve heard Aldi’s has good ice cream.
we just got cream but yes, we buy ice cream for FIL often, he eats a lot of it.

Oh dear that can cause damage. If the winds get that strong you better go to the basement, at least the first floor. Don’t want a tree crashing through the roof on to your head.

Laundry done early; before Chuck even got out of bed. Got to a lovely sunny & 80 degrees today; dropping down to a chilly 59 with an overnight of 27. Brrr.

Hello…the sun came out and all seems clear for now..we’re going to FIL’s in awhile and my sister will join us…we’re just hanging out at the moment..heard a little clunk and of course I knew a little piece of the wall or ceiling fell on the mantel..at least not a big piece and that happens once in awhile. Update……..they wanted a picture of Rick and my camera on my laptop wasnt working and I couldnt figure out why, it always has worked. Googling i found there is a slider bar at the top of the camera…on/off I never knew that and somehow it was slid to the off side so we will try again tomorrow.
