Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Our power went out. I figured someone hit a telephone poll so we drove down to see….sure enough. Our power was back on in 40 mn so Rick can make supper. 😂

My sister and I went out for a while but wanted to get back before it got windier, or started raining or storming…we’re under a tornado watch until 8. We went to a couple resale shops, donated a few things…got decaf flavored coffee at a gift shop. She decided to go back to our mom’s during the “weather” .
