Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

It’s possible the cam owner has turned it off or the cam itself is on the fritz.
It is on now Pam.
Just in case it disappears as quick as it came on I took a picture to show the cam was really on.
Yay!!!
thanks Debbie ♥
Its still on this morning😍
Glad to know. 😘
😄
Going to feed Dutchess some supper. Be back in a few. 😉
Feed you too.
Just a little snack. I’ll eat some more here in a few minutes. I’m on a wacky schedule today.
You stinker you are on a wacky schedule all the time. 😁♥️🥰
Don’t I know it, Debbie. Ugh!
I’m having a hard time typing.
Oh no, Debbie! Is it your hands? Or is it your keyboard?
Quirks in the site. It is mainly pausing the typing then it types out 3 or 4 words all at once.
That is so weird 😟
Yea. I’ve had that problem before. It is worse when there are a lot of chatters and I think the ads that move make it worse.
That is weird. I wonder if it’s the internet
sometimes that can happen if you have a lot of open browser tabs or if you’ve had this page open for a long time. If its just this page then a simple refresh fixes it.
Thanks I’ll try to refresh more often.
.
I’m sighning off for the night, see you in the morning I don’t know if I have to bring Jade to beboarded in the morning so I need to be up and ready when the call
Ok, Julie. ❤️ I hope to talk to you real quick before you go tomorrow. I will try and be up early. That is a beautiful gif. Sweet dreams! Mwah! 😘
I think she is taking Jade tomorrow but she is leaving Tuesday.
Thanks Debbie. I think I did see that, what seems like eons ago.
I didn’t want you getting up early thinking she was leaving.
That is sweet, thank you Debbie. (I just saw this note). 😍
Oh you are taking her the day before. Good night Julie.
Just got my first Aw Snap message for the night and kicked off. Had to reload. I’ll just have to keep plowing in there.
Dang Karen Marie, I’m sorry that is happening to you😫
Ty Julie. I know you’ve been through it a lot lately also. 😢
Check out this humming bird feeder wow!!!
Oh my, it looks like a flute. I suppose it would work. Not as pretty though.
If you have a lot of hummingbirds-this might help keep them from fighting
I didn’t know they fought. That is sad. I wonder if they have always fought, or if it just was within a certain amount of time because of water shortages?
They are vicious little birds, they can injure and even kill each other
Geez. They are too pretty and delicate to fight. I would not like to watch that. 😥
Mine have always fought and I don’t have a lot.
My goodness! I just had no idea.
Don’t count on it!
They always fight no matter what🙄
That is a very cool feeder; as Karen says, not pretty, but very effective
You could decorate it with some flowers?
To continue my post, Lynn and julie, it seems like you both had a wonderful relaxing day. So nice sometimes. Pam, I wasn’t too surprised when you said that one of your brothers messed up your stove/oven, but the other one? I thought he cleaned? I think I would have had to put my music on as loud as I could get it while they were trying to watch TV or something, and then I would bang around as loud as I could while trying to clean up the mess. Ardyth, you look wonderful in that sweater, as if you… Read more »
You are funny Karen! Your “Advice” for Pam. And hamburgers, you like them the way I do. All American burger! Sometimes I want mustard, sometimes ketchup, sometimes both! Never Mayo. Karen, is it just on your phone you have trouble posting, or your laptop too?
Thanks Debbie – anyway I can help Pam with those boys . . . 🤣 It’s mayonnaise mustard and ketchup for me. I don’t use my computer for posting. I mainly use it for spreadsheets and Word documents. Also for email, as I try to keep as many things off my phone as possible. But to answer your question, no I haven’t had any problems with my computer. I am pretty much dumbfounded! I still kind of think it’s his phone, as when he is using it, I have trouble getting YouTube on my tv. It pauses and hangs up… Read more »
Maybe its the wifi connection? your internet?
The WIFI is working okay. I just think it’s the way it’s allocating it’s space. I think his phone gets priority for some reason. They tell me that’s not correct, but his is a higher level phone than mine.
When posting bets and just use the laptop. If it works you know to zero in on the phone. I’m having trouble typing. I think the ads are making things harder.
Yes, the new ads are popping up so frequently I think it may be part of the problem. But I’m not sure.
It would probably be better than being quiet; Chuck’s seen/watched me cleaning. He just makes me crazy with the paper towel thing; rather than cleaning with soap/water.
Set him straight Pam.
Been trying for the last 5 years; i even told him once that when i die, he better clean it up on a regular basis, before the oil catches fire.
Pam, I always thought Chuck was the clean one. ??
