Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Hello…did some this and thats….spring cleaning in one room, cleaned a couple outdoor chairs and furniture on the screen porch…litter boxes, etc….sitting on my porch now. DH might mow when he gets home, it REALLY needs it…so not sure if we’ll have time to go to his dad’s or walk the dogs…we’ll see.

I just watched a video on how to use the Leaf blower, mulcher, Judy gave me. Its the brand WORX. It just has so much to it Like parts I needed to know how to use it

Depends on the type of blinds? its usually a tab you pull out at the top, there’s one on each side. But if you know what style blinds they are there will be a video on Youtube to watch😃 I needed to know how the leaf blower worked and what to do to make the mulcher work, what thing to turn to switch it over from a blower to a vacum
My blinds are easy to remove if you can go up a step.

Hi, Julie. 🌺 I just love the Hibiscus in the background. I used to have some dinner plate sized hibiscus in my backyard. And I’m not kidding you, the blooms were the size of a large dinner plate. I lost them after I got sick several years ago, but gosh they were beautiful. Maybe I can copy the pictures from my computer onto my phone and post them. Or get on SPO via my computer and send them that way. 🌸

they are such a pain that I stopped doing that…years ago, DH took them down, maybe twice he did this, and hosed them off and used a long handled scrub brush to clean them..I just don’t want to spend all my time doing that, have better things to do, that’s how I feel
Thats how I clean them hose them off in the drive way or in the bathtube just fill with water add dish soap let soak for a couple of hours rinse and drip dry. That works the best and is the least amount of work the get really clean😍
Hi Lynn. They may be good if sun is streaming in a window and you want to partially close them so you can still see out but the sun is deflected, but over wise if you have drapes I don’t see a purpose.
Using both makes good insulation in the winter months, helps keep the cold from coming in. Makes sense to me
I have 3 panes of glass between the inside and outside on all the windows.

The windows are double pained, then there is a storm window. The bottom of the storm can be raised in the summer and there is a screen.

I just wash them by hand one row at a time. I like a clean house. I only wash them once a year.
I do, too, like a clean house but..gave up because of this crappy house….there are things everywhere that can’t be cleaned…also yes it is tedious..maybe once a year I just take a duster thing and go down them, that’s all I do now

Have you googled how to remove blinds from a window? You might see something that gives you an ah ha moment. I still remember when I bought my 65” new tv. I was trying to figure out the best way to get it out of the box. On a whim I googled and lo, there was a video. It was extremely easy to unbox it. If I had not googled, it would have been a pain in the 🫏 the way I was going to do it. I was shocked.
Oh yes, I did a couple weeks ago and we both gingerly tried…..we didnt wasnt to ruin the drywall or plaster or whatever you call it. The way I am doing it is probably less work IMO.
I’m sorry Ardy they must be screwed into the actual wall. I wouldn’t want to damage the wall either.
They arent because the blind guy showed us how a few years back but like i said we didnt want to do damage…not a big deal..

I gave up on blinds a long time ago, the cleaning is too tedious for me, switched them out for curtains
Curtains would get dusty here so I would have to wash them so this is easier. I live in the desert 🏜️
we have just blinds in my library and blinds in the bedroom with lace valances
