Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Yep, one thing leads to another. That happened to me. I needed to clean out my chest of drawers and came across a bag of papers from my parents. That made me clean out Mom’s fire box, which led me to clean out my file cabinet, then a little drawer box thing on top of my file cabinet made to put little things in. Then…………or just keeps going on.

The floor isn’t really dirty I swept it. I just can’t put clean rugs on a not washed floor-its a thing with me that’s why I don’t wash them very often to much work😂

Some time next week a roof guy is going to come and inspect the roof for hail damage-its free for them to have a look at it. I told Bruce that it looked ok to me and I did look at it to see if I could see damage and I couldn’t, but the inspection is free,

Better to have it checked, but skeptical if they say it needs replaced. Check the BBB.

It looks fine to me, Bruce will be here while they check out the roof, he loves free things and a free inspection is right up his alley, he had them check out his house and it was ok. What’s BBB?

Better Business Bureau. A lot of times when a natural weather event comes through an area it draws in repair people from out of state. Most of them are legitimate, but some scammers can be mixed in. Local people can’t get to the jobs because the natural event produced way over the normal jobs needed doing. So it can be a good thing as long as you are careful.

Good morning…was sitting outside on one of our plastic adirondack chairs..they are more facing out now so people today were saying hi and waving…maybe I’ll move them around some days and same with the glider. I had Dunkin vanilla coffee and then Highland Grogg decaf. I might do a load of laundry and litter boxes. Later after DH gets whatever done, we might go to FIL’s, the caregiver who always wants to see the dogs will be there…didn’t get there last week. FIL has been sleeping a lot but if he’s awake I usually show him a couple or few… Read more »

Good morning Lynn, nice to sit outside and wave to people. I can’t sit in an Adirondack chair, too hard for me to get out of. Enjoy your day, whatever you and hubby do.

Good Sunday Morning Bellas, today will be a repeat of yesterday plus a load of laundry. I bet the city does the yard pick up tomorrow, seems weird to me that the pickup date was for a Sunday but the date was the 26th of the month, either way I’m ready😃

Good morning Sunshine and happy day to you. I hope you get the yard work done, especially the part for the city to pick up. I wondered about the pickup being Sunday too. Maybe because it is not a daily or even weekly thing, so they need the extra day so the usual things can be done on the usual days. They probably ask for volunteers who want to earn overtime.
You and Jade enjoy communing with nature.

Bruce said that the 26th was the put out date, not the actual pick up dates. It’s a city crew that does it, Like the streets division, the guy’s who snow plow will get to do this job
