Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. My mother absolutely loved horses; never missed this race. She worked as an usherette at Centennial Horse Race Track for a few summers. I visited Churchill Downs, off season, many years ago and was lucky enough to feel the magic. Never could’ve afforded a ticket to the Show!

It’s pretty special; there’s a wonderful museum where you can pick/choose which Derby you want to watch. There’s a bronze statue of Secretariat to welcome you. 💘
I would love to get next that statue. Do they let you touch it? The museum would be great too. The tradition, and all those beautiful horses and some great horse lovers. 😍
