Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Hello…we went to the monthly art fest and I saw several people that i know…I usually expect to see one or two but not that many! There are a lot more vendors now and fun things for kids to do…games, crafts, etc..it runs through September I think so hope to make to a couple more…Bane had fun, too. I got a couple pieces of fish at the grocery deli and DH got chicken tenders, that was our dinner. The Cubs are winning, yay! Going to relax now..night 😴

You have a lot of fun and interesting things to do. From talking to you for years, I think the town you live in is very crafty, maybe has more artists than most towns do. Lots of little shops and crafts, good places to eat. Lots of music festivals. Seems like a very nice place to live.

what you said about my town…it’s because the leaders have made it that way in the last few to several years…first they decided to make it a garden town…we won a national award even though other towns hired gardeners and we used volunteers…now they are making it an art town…we have an art studio with all kind of classes and events…and a couple churches that have turned into venues for concerts and other art events…and now building a big outdoor place for concerts with a grant…I must admit I don’t always like it and there’s almost too much going on… Read more »
Good morning Lynn. I think that is wonderful. The leadership of your town was visionary and focused. I would love living there. My hometown, Nashville TN, was the home of country music. Lots of big time singers and musicians, recording studios and tourists. The “action” was located on what is called lower Broadway. The Grand Ol’ Opry was down there and nationally famous. They build a theme park called Opryland a ways across town and the Opry moved there in mid 70’s. The theme park thrived for decades, but lower Broadway declined and Nashville declined. These are the Norwegian Dancers we are going to see at the festival tomorrow, they are high school kids doing traditional Norwegian dances, it will be fun seeing them live I have seen them perform on TV
