Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

went and got milk saw some branches down, from Friday nights wind. I’m letting it dry out a bit Jade wants outside but I’m not sitting on wet steps she can just wait for a bit-she has done the tail buzz at me a couple of times-she does thatso I see her when that doesn’t work then she uses her paws to get her point across, cute but being a pita right now and I’m not giving into her

Good afternoon BellaFam 💖
Very quiet around here today; Chuck and i still recovering 😴
About 10 degrees cooler today and tomo will be another 15-20 degrees cooler than today; resulting in a drop of 25-30 degrees in 2 days 🙄
There are times when i really do hate sharing a kitchen; just about the time i was going to pop a frozen pizza in the oven, Chuck decided he needed brownies. The brownies won 😋

My little toaster oven would come in handy! Hi Pam, so…..have brownies and pizza a little later. Everyone wins. You get all the rest you need. You earned it.

My little oven has an extra rounded out space at the bottom that lets it hold a pizza bigger than the rack. It holds 12, maybe 13 inch?

We did have some here😋 and they did a night time spraying of water on the strawberry plants, and that worked to protect the plants from freezing

How it works we have lots of strawberry fields around here, how the water helps protect from a hard freeze
