Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Good almost afternoon…went to church, love the “once a month” worship band…church gets out really early now..our pastor is on sabbatical for a few months so we have a woman pastor from our “sister” church….love her. I went for a walk afterwards, nice path near there..later DH and I went to McD’s for BOGO breakfast sandwiches and I also got an iced vanilla coffee. Debbie, I said “our” dogs because yes it was one in our group but also because the little dog wasn’t in our group… no, ours wouldn’t attack and we just have Bane in that class. It… Read more »

Hi Lynn I don’t know how I missed this post, I have been here multiple times. I always check my bell but that is only for replies. I don’t even have a ball when I am on my iPad so I don’t know about new posts UNLESS I scroll. Sometimes I guess I don’t scroll enough.
Church , walk and McD’s sounds very nice. I really didn’t think your dogs would do that, they are too well behaved. Really didn’t think any of the class dogs would either. Sorry for the little dog but glad he is OK.

Good morning Bella Buds. Beautiful today, already 76, and should reach about 88 today. Tomorrow likewise when I go to Somerset for RA. Then Tuesday the rain hits, and we are supposed to get a lot. That is a good thing, we need it. The county just north, where I worked, really needs it, they don’t have the water reserve we have.
The only things I know I’ll do today are do my monthly pill box and take a shower, watch Fever play. Hall have the best day possible.

thanks Ardy! I was looking for two that go good together…the other day when I looked I could only find one that I liked..and I don’t want them to be identical so these were perfect. I’m hoping to plant some grass here and there, our lawn is really patchy…but the worst is a big circle where I used to let Scout out to pee, it got to be big! and looks awful, in front of the house…so now I have to take her out and to a spot on the side of the house that isn’t seen as much. It… Read more »

Lovely, I have the same petunia colors. Thanks for posting Ardyth and thanks for the pictures Lynn. I haven’t planted anything yet-keeping them safe from storms with hail that are coming also our frost warnings have finally stopped so it will be safe to plant now😍
