Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Back home….nice and quiet meal and good…my sister tried to tell our mom we don’t need all that extra food but of course…she didn’t listen…😫she said oh well, if it doesn’t get eaten, she’ll just throw it away! oh my…my sister and I liked that it would be easier, less cleanup, less leftovers, etc….not sure when she’ll be back over ..saw that Mary Poppins is on tonight. oh and Debbie…I have some agility equipment here and yes I’ve worked on it with Scout…but they don’t have the agility class anymore at “dog school”…wish they did. Oh that is so funny about Bane. It was said today that Border Collies are the smartest breed, he has that in him doesn’t he? So funny how he brings his plate for more! I’m not at all surprised he is smartest. Too bad the school stopped the agility class. I’m glad you have some equipment to work with. Yes it is perfectly ok to brag on our furbabies.
