Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good morning Bella Buds. Now everyone’s attention turns to Christmas. My preparation is minimal. Decide and make something to take for the meal, and get a small gift for secret Santa, stick it in a bag. Send out a few Christmas cards, maybe include a monetary gift in a couple. That is about it. I went to my youngest daughter’s for “the meal” but didn’t think to get any pictures but I do have a funny story…while they were carving the bird I was at the back end of the turkey and saw something inside there and pulled it out saying “what is this” needless to say it was the neck, who would have thought after hearing so many stories about this happening that it would still happen in this day and age lol
Might as well cook it in there unless it is in the paper. My neck wasn’t in the paper just the rest.
