Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I texted my helper in case I need him to help shovel..I know it might not even be possible if it’s blowing, drifting, and coming down heavy, until afterwards…if it gets bad, hope it isn’t too difficult to take the dogs out

no, it might start during the night or early morning…the heaviest snowfall will be tomorrow afternoon/evening
It would be good if you had an outdoor covered area.
We didn’t go the Christmas parade, or the bb game tonight, or the play at the HS…my mom and sister went out of town, heading back now…there were LOUD fireworks after the parade…I think it’s silly to have fireworks after the parade and lighting of the tree…scares the animals and me! and I just feel the 4th of July ones are enough.
oh and Ardy, yes you buy things in the store but she’s always helping people who are needy..and there are boxes of free stuff near the entrance..people come to her all the time asking for help, either needing clothes, food, etc..if she can’t help she tells them who they can call or where to go. She was walking around the store with this man, helping him find things and filling up a bag, I know she was just going to give it to him, she does that.
That is very kind of her♥♥♥

Hi Karen so your SIL is local. I’m so happy you and she are going out to eat and spending time together. It will be good for you both. We have chatted, but I spent 2 hours on the phone with Nancy.
We are eating supper at her house, just some meatloaf and potatoes. She hasn’t been able to cook very much. And neither of us wanted to go anywhere and then come back and then me leave. Nice that you and Nancy talked for so long. The last time I counted, I thought there were like 9- 11 people who chat on this site. I just can’t remember their names right now. No reason for guilty. Some days are busy chat days, some not. It just happens both ways. We may have 9 chatters but it would be rare to have over 5 at once. You posted at 8 pm. Why aren’t you at your SIL house?
I can only think of about 6 regulars…and maybe a couple others who chat occasionally. No need to feel guilty, people here just chat when we can..we all have different schedules, different things going on in our lives.
