Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. One of my cats used to bring me mice, drop them right at my feet, and look up at me for my reaction. I told her it was good, and then picked it up and took it somewhere so she couldn’t see it. And then I tossed it

Good afternoon…I was lazy most of the morning..then started doing dishes, laundry, and going to switch more summer/winter clothes in a bit. I had more leftovers. DH managed to come home…guess I whined about shoveling and he did some…well I did just do a lot of raking and I’m not supposed to do the heavy snow..I wanted it cleared off for taking the dogs in and out…but of course we’ll probably get more and drifting, also…my sister has been shoveling on and off at our mom’s…and taking frequent breaks..says she doesn’t want to do another round.
